Christiana Miller
Christiana Miller
I’m a writer, a one-time actress, and a full-time mom.
So what do all the above have in common? Me!
I used to work at Williams Bally/Midway, where I wrote, directed and shot the promotional videos for INDIANA JONES AND THE PINBALL ADVENTURE and STAR TREK: NEXT GENERATION PINBALL GAME. I have the originals in storage, but I was delighted and surprised to learn that a fan of the videos (or maybe just the pinball games!) posted them on YouTube. If you want to check them out, here are the links:
Indiana Jones and the Pinball Adventure
Star Trek: The Next Generation Pinball Game
(Thank you, Captain Pinball!)
I’ve also written produced episodes of GENERAL HOSPITAL and GENERAL HOSPITAL: NIGHT SHIFT. If you want to see my NIGHT SHIFT episode (LOVE/HATE), you can see it in 5 parts on YouTube, or you can download it from iTunes. GENERAL HOSPITAL: NIGHT SHIFT, Season Two, HAS NEVER BEEN RELEASED ON DVD. Which totally sucks. So, fans, please converge on ABC and demand Season Two to complete your DVD collection. Unless the fans drive it, I don’t think it’ll ever be released.
You can’t see my GENERAL HOSPITAL episodes, because they pre-dated the You Tube revolution. They aired during the Cesar Faison era, when Cesar kidnaps Felicia, and when Luke goes off to rescue Felicia. (Honestly, I’ve only seen one of my GH episodes -- I was working a day job at the time and my boss had a thing about me watching GH during my lunch hour). But maybe I’ll post the scripts up for people who want to read them.
SOMEBODY TELL AUNT TILLIE SHE’S DEAD is my first novel. Check out the book page for more info. You can read free chapters on Amazon. Also, MARA STEPHENS: FORTUNE TELLER TO BUDDING, PRECOCIOUS PORN STARS is actually an excerpt from SOMEBODY TELL AUNT TILLIE SHE’S DEAD. Check it out. If you enjoy it, you’ll definitely enjoy reading the rest of the story! It’s full of Witchcraft, Santeria, Ifa, Voudoun but it has a sense of humor. If Heather Graham and Janet Evanovich had a bastard love child, it would be SOMEBODY TELL AUNT TILLIE SHE’S DEAD.
And that brings us to MORTAL KOMBAT II and III. Remember my job at Williams Bally/Midway? Well, I shared the studio with the MORTAL KOMBAT guys and when they were recording voices, they tapped me to be the voices of all the female warriors on MORTAL KOMBAT II and III. It’s under my maiden name, though. Here’s the screenshot:
And that’s what all the above has in common. Oh, wait... DEEP SPACE NINE? VOYAGER?
No, I wasn’t a writer for those shows. However, I was the WGA Writing Intern on STAR TREK: VOYAGER and my first writing partner was J.G. Hertzler, who also played Martok, The One-Eyed Klingon, on STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE. Funny story, we were once at Bob Hope Airport for a writing assignment, when who should walk through?
Captain Picard.
Yup. Patrick Stewart, live and in-person. With that gorgeous voice of his. And, of course, he and J.G. are friends, so I actually got a chance to talk to him. It was a great fan-girl day!
Only in Hollywood!
